Earlier post on Search400

One of my colleagues passed along this morning's post from a midrange-l
member wondering whether we might be "farming" email addresses from this
list.  Before any nasty rumors get started, let me definitively lay this
issue to rest.  Under no circumstances would Search400 spam this or any
other mailing list.  Our database of email addresses consists entirely of
registered Search400 users and people with a current or past business
relationship of The 400 Group, including subscribers to our publication
(Insider Weekly, Inside V4, Roger Pence's AS/400 Letter, I/S Analyzer, and
Experts Journal), attendees of our seminars and conferences, buyers of our
Interactive Learning Courseware, and others who have given their email
address to us on a voluntary basis.  If members of this list received my
message, it has nothing to do with your membership here on midrange-l.  If
you are receiving email from us that you do not wish to receive, simply
respond to the next message you receive from us with a note to that effect,
and we will immediately remove you from our list.

Email is an important, perhaps the most important, way in which we
communicate with the AS/400 community.  We wouldn't do anything to
jeapordize that means of communication.

you might have on this issue, or on my email from yesterday that was posted
to the list this morning.  Thanks!
