THEY'VE JUST COST THE ENTIRE MIDRANGE INDUSTRY _MILLIONS_ OF DOLLARS! IFxx is out, as are associated ORxx and ANDxx opcodes. CHAIN, READ(X), UPDAT, SETxx, and WRITE are gone as well as BEGSR, ENDSR, KLIST, PLIST, CABXX, and DEFN. All of the arithmatic operators contain vowels, as do OPEN and CLOSE. EXFMT and EXCPT have an "E" as well as ITER and LEAVE. SCAN and STRIP(x) are toast, along with OPEN, CALL, and CLOSE. OK, what _IS_ the answer?
