Albert: You are correct, I wasn't near a machine to verify the command. Anyway, I have set it up for a few clients and it is pretty straight forward. Do you have the TCP/IP config manual. There is a pretty good explaination of how to set it up in there. Off the top of my head here is a very quick overview of exactly what needs to be done. 1. You dont need to config TCP/IP on the AS400. 2. You need to define a ASYNC line defn for the AS400. 3. We have used US Robotic modem with dial up TCP and they work well. 4. Use option 1 from the CFGTCPPTP menu. I don't have access to any of the AS400 I have set this up on at this time, but that should be about all there is to it. Are you using PPP or SLIP? I have set up the 400 to call another AS400 via SLIP and have PCs dial into a 400 via SLIP, but not actually act as a router between 2 networks. I believe you need to all fowarding of IP packets (I dont remember the keyword). Also, you will need to define a route between your network and the remote network. Sorry I'm not that much more help.
