As I recall, most of the client server development I saw at the
time was based around DTAQs and proprietary interfaces. ODBC was
sort of the new kid on the block, but it was a supported interface
since the V2R3 days. DDM does not, AFAIK, extend to PC client
interface.

what do you mean, DDM? Sounds familiar, but i can remember what this is/was
exactly. I'm wondering how the AS/400 database (back in /94) couldhave been
accessed remotely from a PC program. if it could have ... appreciate your
