It isn't cheap if you just want to have one user accessing the AS/400 remotely
at a time but I am VERY partial to the Shiva LanRover 8/E if you are running
TCP/IP on your AS/400. (It supports IPX protocol, too, but who cares in
this day and age? <grin>). It's also able to support dial out from your
networked PC's if you need such a thing as dial up Internet access (the
dial out is an extra cost option, though, not included with the base product)
and don't want to wire modem lines throughout your office. (Assumes you
don't already have this feature on your LAN.) It has been EXTREMELY reliable
as a TCP/IP dial up connection for CA/400 from home for the whole IS staff
at my former employer.
