Average for me is around 3 seconds. And comparing it to newsgroups is like apples to oranges. Actually, now that I think about it, when I download the headers for comp.sys.ibm.as400.misc, it takes an average of 20 seconds for 150 headers. Then, to retrieve the message text, it takes about 3 seconds as well...
