Bradley,

I have never found a difference so what I do is code a change indicator on the
field with check(ER). If the indicator is on, and the current cursor position
is in the
next field on the screen, I assume auto record advance was the cause. We use
this
to automatically roll subfiles. Especially when they are filled with a barcode
reader.
This works just fine in most cases, but I could never get it to work properly
on displays
with CSRINPONLY because the cursor position was not always returned properly.

Does anyone know if when you specify Auto Record Advance on a field,
that when this occurs, is there any way to tell if this occured and to
differentiate it from someone just pressing enter?

I noticed the hex value is 'F1' which is enter for both pressing enter
and when the Auto Record Advance kicks in. I want to do different
processing for each situation.

Thanks.
