What little I know is the following. When you do a DSPUSRPRF, at the end you will find: User profile . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . : ROB Home directory . . . . . . . . . . . . . . : /home/ROB If you do a CHGUSRPRF and hit help you will find some additional information. Since it is user specific and not job specific, and I can look at the contents from 2 separate 5250 sessions, I don't think it functions anything like QTEMP. dleland@Harter.com on 10/21/98 09:05:43 AM Please respond to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com@Internet To: MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com@Internet cc: Subject: /home IFS directory Can someone give me a quick rundown on the /home directory in IFS? Is this similar to the QTEMP lib. (which is unique to each job and gets cleared when the job ends). Does each user have their own /home directory? I've heard/read it has it's roots in UNIX, but since I know nothing about UNIX, I'm not sure what the purpose of the /home directory it.
