Hey Steve,
Conduct the interview on the level at which this person will be expected
to perform. The degree shouldn't really drive the interview.
Specifically, can this person do the job he or she is expected to do?
Being in a consulting environment the person also has to be able to
relate to clients. Credentials being what they will I usually rely on my
gut feeling about a person's ability to perform in a consulting
environment... I am sure I will hear a lot of pros and cons about this
advice.. good luck...

Subject: Technical Interview

Hey there everyone,
I have to conduct a technical interview on a potential employee for the
consulting company that I work for. The technical strengths of this
person are
RPG and SQL/400 . I would love to hear from the group on what kind of
questions you would ask and the answer that you would expect. This is
the
first time I have ever had to do this sort of thing so your help would
be
greatly appreciated.
The canidate has a years experience and a masters in computer
programming so the questions should be pretty advanced.
