I hope you're not looking for a simple solution. You will need to be
able to utilize sockets which you can't do directly with RPG but there
are third party products that provide API's to sockets functions - how
useful they'll be for this sort of application, I don't know. You'll
also have to understand the TELNET protocol which on the surface is
simple enough but in implementation can be tricky. Most TELNET client
programs are written in C and use a finite state machine (FSM) design
which I've never seen done in RPG before.
