Counter question... can the RPG cycle be used to write to a database file? You should find the answers are the same... No. You must explicitly WRITE the records. Don't forget the overflow indicator in the LO position of the WRITE opcode. I/O errors could result otherwise. (Unless you're handling overflow differently). Bradley V.
