I'm not sure what sense of screen capture you are looking for, but an
application program can appear as a 3270 device to another system using
the 3270 device emulation APIs.  For SNA communications the SNA Upline
Facility Programming manual describes the programming interfaces.  For
BSC the S/38 3270 Emulation Reference manual describes the interfaces.

For maximum fun one could also use the standard 3270 emulation commands
and capture the screens by way of the Virtual Terminal APIs found in
the System API Reference (and running the 3270 session from a virtual
5250 session).
