Gary,

We are using IBM's (for now) Global Network.

We are not on their frame (yet) but we do have a 256 transatlantic link and
64k links into our citoes their. Pings typically get around 230 to 265
millisecond responses. Our users have no complaints and they seem to have
resolved the international telco problems.

A plus for IBM is the multilinual helpdesks.

If you have any questions feel free to contact me directly.

HTH,
John

Is anyone here running a Wide Area Network to Europe? Who is your
communications provider? How much bandwidth? We have just put in a
Wide Area Frame Relay network overseas and have been experiencing many
problems where our users will be on-line with their 5250 Client Access
emulations, and suddenly the terminals will go black. They lose their
session and have to click on communicaition - Connect. What would cause
these blackouts? I assume its a network issues. I am running a Wide
Area Network to all units in United States and Canada without a problem.
BTW, I am running OS/400 V4R2 and using TCP/IP to connect.
