I think that, whilst all members of the list believe that they appreciate all
your efforts, and say so from time to time, it is all too easy to forget that 
you
run the list on a zero budget for everyone else's benefit.  Between us all, we
should make sure that you get a new complete PC adequate for the task (with
plenty of new memory, new disk, etc.).  You should not have to spend your time
rebuilding old bits.  I am sure that you spend far too much time supporting the
system for us without extra burdens like this.

New PC's are hardly expensive these days. So, those of you who have not yet
offered any help, please make a contribution to David.
