In your assignment your instructor probably assigned you a library to perform
your work in. Instead of creating a mass mailing for the instructors students
in which each student had customized assignment sheets, they used the term
yourlib. This same logic applies to the term yourfile. You were probably
supposed to create the file yourlib/yourfile in, either an earlier assignment,
or an earlier step in this assignment. After this file exists then you can
perform a DSPOBJD on it. Of course, you can perform a DSPOBJD on an object
that does not exist. However the only output you will receive is an error
message.

For the steps in creating yourlib/yourfile do one or more of the following:
Check your earlier assignments.
Check earlier in this assignment.
Ask your instructor.

Subject: which obj?

another question folks...

my guideline for this assignment says to use DSPOBJD command to create
a output file in my lib. to use it to compile my pgm.

DSPOBJD OBJ(yourlib/yourfile)
         OBJTYPE(*file)
         OUTPUT(*outfile)
         OUTFILE(yourlib/tempfile)

now, i think i get this. my only question is
what do my directions mean by "yourfile"

i have no idea which obj. it's talking about b/c
the rpg pgm i wrote is of type RPGLE not of *FILE

sincerely,

Mohammad
