There are definitely some options for browser-based access to your
AS/400 apps. If you're not thrilled with WSG, you may want to check out
I/NET's (www.inetmi.com) Webulator. Webulator does on-the-fly conversion
of your AS/400 data stream to HTML for presentation via standard
browsers. I thought IBM was going to adopt Webulator as their standard
web access product for the AS/400, but don't know what's going on with
that. I am not affiliated with I/NET, nor do I sell their products.

More developers are providing web enablement for their software. Here at
Magellan Software, for example, we provide browser-based access to our
COLD and imaging repositories...

Is anyone using Thin Clients on their network? I am about to
implement
JDEdwards to a Wide Area network. We also use Lotus Notes
(which will
soon be running on AS/400 NT IPCS). I'd like for all my users
to be
accessing these two systems via a similar interface. Whether
this is
the way to go or not, I'm not sure but it sure sounds like a
possiblity. Is anyone using a browser to access thier native
AS/400
applications? How bout Notes? I have enabled the Work Station
Gateway
on the AS/400 however I'm not crazy about it. Does Net.Data
enabled
this functionality? Any thoughts, comments, concerned are
welcome!
        Thanx,
        Gary Feinstein
