Don, I know this doesn't address your specific concerns re IBM showing up at expos in your area with Netfinity, RS/6000, the kitchen sink, and NO AS/400, but one AS/400 thing to check out this fall is the new Wave Tour. They're visiting The Inn & Conference Center, UMD on October 20th from 2pm to 6pm, and there are other stops out east too. Check out http://iws.as400.ibm.com/frameset/wframeset.htm for info and North American schedule. Neil Palmer DPS Data Processing Services Canada Ltd. Uh, before you Boo tooo loudly, you should read the Aug. newsletter from the DC users Group...www.wash-midrange.org. Frankly, we're only getting IBM at tech expo's here in DC to push NT and unix...NONE THAT WE'VE SEEN are willing to bring in ANYTHING related to the 400... When asked why NT and unix they're responses have been "because that's what users are looking for".... Frankly I don't think that IBM internally believes what they've been preaching to us choir members for low these many years....
