Removing disks

We are in the process of removing our old IBM 9337 1 GB drives from our
systems.
Does anyone have any benchmarks on how long it takes to copy these? (per GB
or drawer of 8GB)?
Also, are these drives boat anchors or do they have any redeeming value
other than PC SCSI drives??
