Nick,

If they're 5 or 6 years old, they probably won't work on any CPU with a clock 
speed greater than 33mhz or so. If somewhat newer, they will require jumper 
settings for interrupt and IO address. You'll need a manual. Some cards have a 
setup program that uploads the settings to EPROM on the card. Still newer, just 
plug 'em in and turn it on. You'll probably need to play with Client Access a 
little. I don't think twinax was supported with CA V3R1M1, but can't say for 
sure. If you can identify the manufacturer, you might try calling and pleading 
for help. I don't know what TWX costs these days, but if you need to run it, 
buying new cards may be cheaper.
