No, you don't need nor do you want to create the dummy PF. Instead, you   
use the CRTRPGPGM (or the RPG IV equivalent) and use the OVRDBF command   
immediately before this in order to compile the program. I don't remember   
the exact format and procedure, but hopefully this will put you in the   
right direction.

Quick question.  I have a program which needs use multiple access paths
into the same file.  Is there a way to use the same file on two
different F-specs.  I know how to rename the Record and how to use
OVRDBF to allow multiple accesses to the same file.

Do I have to create a dummy PF to allow the program to compile ?
