I've also seen problems in where I cannot see the shares on clients using both NT and Novell. Based on your experience with this situation I am now tempted to call IBM on this again with this new information. In general I've found the Netserver support to be shaky at best. peteh@inwave.com on 07/26/98 06:03:43 PM Please respond to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com@Internet To: MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com@Internet cc: Subject: Re: Questions on Netserver Support At 18:10 07/25/98 -0700, Jeff Silberberg wrote: > > I have the Netserver configured for a client, and all works well > on the test machine, if CA/400 (router) is loaded but otherwise I can > not see the shares I established. > > The Client is confuged for both Win NT / and Novel client and uses the >IPX and TCP/IP protocols. Jeff, I found that as long as the NT network client was configured, I couldn't see the AS/400 shares. I suspect that it will work with the NT client also if the Novell client is removed, but Novell is our standard setup, so I didn't muck with it. It works fine with just the Novell client.
