just dialing to the as/400 is easy but at least you0ve two problems: - only one people can use it (one for each line/modem) - you can pay long distance call if not in the same city i think the best will be stabilish an internet connection with an ISP doing a local call from an networked pc, now remote pc's connect to internet using other ISP, and (knowing the IP addrees of the networked+conected pc or AS/400) can use the LAN resources. could this be possible? maybe neccesary an fixed IP for the networked PC (and the Networked AS/400) AS400---PC----ISP-----INTERNET------RemotePC at least here in Spain phone calls are very expensive if not in the same city (local) or using local call to ISP. very interesting thread.
