It is most likely the local "business partner" who doesn't know anything about the AS400 or probably unix. My guess is that if you ask them what problems they have encountered doing AS400 or unix installs you will find that they have never even tried any. BTW who cares if NT has "more" software offerings since you can only run one application per server anyway ! If you want another app that is on NT you will most likely have to buy another server anyway. Look in the information Week July 20th issue for a good article on "The Hidden Costs of NT." This article actually mentions the AS400 without the word "Legacy" in the same sentence!
