SAP is recommending NT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 ??????????????????????

That is INCREDIBLE... I have worked with NT Server and it is OK for non critical
stuff, but to run your BUSINESS ON (as a replacement for the AS/400 !!!) 
CRAZY...

As I think has been mentioned before here - Microsoft runs  IT's business on
AS/400's. You KNOW that if there is ANY way in theWORLD that NT is "prime time"
(the way MS hates IBM and the AS/400) that MS would be running THEIR business on
it... <BG>

The decision had been made before I got here (2 weeks ago :-)) but the general
reasons were the usual - application software offerings, cost, reliability,
openness, etc.

I would REALLY be interested in SAP's logic here (as I am SURE others on the 
list
would !)...
