  • Subject: SLIP Connection and KFLEX modems

I have been successfully handling email on the AS/400 (V3R7) via TCP/IP
with a local internet service provider. I am his only SLIP account, but
it works. Yesterday I was informed they are changing their modems to
KFlex technology. When I dial in to the new modem I get an active
connection, but I cannot ping or do anything else. Now I am having the
usual fun run around. The ISP never heard of an AS/400. The IBM
support line says it's a modem issue. The best they can offer is a
Consult Line contract. Does anyone have any ideas of what to do or who
to turn to?
