  • Subject: TCP/IP Connection of 5763-XK1

Is anyone making use of the new CA/400 Win 3.1 Client, 5763-XK1? I'm
working on my first PC with this setup and running into problems.

First off, I got the Microsoft WFW TCP/IP stack from their website.
When I installed this, it placed 6 TSRs in AUTOEXEC.BAT. Another user I
have been talking with via Email says it inserted _NO_ TSRs. If I
remove these TSRs, Windows networking won't work. (And that's _before_
I try starting CA/400.)

All these TSRs are taking up memory. I can start only 1 AS/400 session.

I cannot get virtual print to work. And I haven't even found out _if_
it will work with DOS programs like 5763-XC1 did.

It appears that 'Bypass Signon' is not available in PC5250.

There is load of info out there for the Win95/NT client, but I can't
find much on 5763-XK1. This is the CEO's PC, he has Win95 at home, and
really sees no need to get a heftier PC just to buy Win95 and use it.

Any suggestions on where to go for assistance, I'm all ears.
