Sybase' Data Architect, etc., have some knowledge of AS/400 databases. It did not handle the referenetial integrity stuff when I last looked at it, but they've had upgrades since then. The product is fairly intuitive to use. Some funniness but not bad. Used to be Powerbase' S-Designor. ERWin also knows about AS/400. It was not as easy to use as Data Architect, however. Popkin has a similar tool, called System Architect, I think.. It had AS/400 knowledge but had only an APPC connection—no TCP/IP. That may have changed. There are a number of other tools along the line of data modelers or OO design tools. The above-mentioned tools can all reverse-engineer. They also have other components that can generate commands, usually SQL and occasionally DDS, that can create files/tables on the server database. Check WebFerret (have you picked it up yet) for data modeling.
