Curtis, On that machine you could have up to 96 of 'em! All of your Communications Lines (such as the ECS line) are 'RS232 ports'. IBM Just calls em V.24 ports. Just be sure to use the IBM supplied cable to attach to the system. If you must add adaptors or extensions add them to the end of the IBM Cable. Without the IBM cable the system doesn't know one is attached. Any V.35 port won't work due to physical interface differences.
