Jeff, We have seen many clients connect to banks using bisync and async. SNA almost always becomes a fiasco to troubleshoot because of the differences in terminology between the AS/400 world and the mainframe world. My suggestion is to ask the bank if they support bisync or async (using xmodem, ymodem or zmodem). If they support simple bisync you can write something fairly easily. If they support async, (I have yet to see a bank that did not offer this option), our company has a product that is sort of like having ProComm on your AS/400. It's called ZMOD400 and you can even use your ECS modem. You can download a trial from www.softwarejungle.com to try if you like. More than half of our customers use ZMOD400 for transferring their ACH (payroll) files to banks. I am curious to know what bank you are transmitting with because we may already have a script to do it. I would like to use the IBM ECS modem to do this. The Bank supports SNA and FEP 3745. Any help this way would be appreciated. > >Thanks >Jeff Williamson > > >+--- >| This is the Midrange System Mailing List! >| To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. >| To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. >| To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. >| Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com >+--- > +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
