The term SNA gets thrown around by a lot of mainframe shops as though it
only came in one flavor. What they probably mean is that they want you to
emulate a 3770 LU 1 type device. You need to verify this with them.
Secondly (and more importantly) you need to find out what package they're
using on their end - it's likely to be Connect Mailbox or Supertracs.
You'll have to do some programming unless you purchase a solution. (Yes, we
do sell these sort of packages). Finally verify that they've successfully
connected with an AS/400 before. If they have not, then my advice is to
seek professional help. The AS/400 has a number of limitations and
oddities, not the least of which is that the terminology is completely
different. I've set up these links many times and unless your mainframe
opposite number is on the ball this can be a long and painful exercise. The
basics of your configuration are going to be an SDLC line, a host
controller and a SNUF (or APPC) device - any parameters such as NET names,
SSCPID's, EXCHID's etc will be provided by the bank. I can provide you with
a number of different configurations - all similar in a way - but I'd
really need to know more to be more precise.

ECS modem to do this. The Bank supports SNA and FEP 3745. Any help this
way would be appreciated.
