Hello Everyone!

We are looking at purchasing an IBM 6400 Line Printer to replace a
very old 5225 at one of our campuses. The new printer will allow us
to set it up with an IP address for access which will allow us to
remove our 5394 controller and data line which are only used for this
one printer. My question, actually problem, is that once we switch
to IP we lose the ability of the user being contacted for form
changes, etc.

Does anyone know how to get around this? I have seen on the list the
Synapse Communication product and will look into it further but was
wondering if others used anything else. Does IBM have anything like
this?

Thanks in advance for any help, Brenda
