Eric,
A VCP is the answer, but the CHGJOB command has many parameters. A good solution
is the RTVCMDSRC utility. Solves a lot of headaches. I found this in the 
archives
of one of the 400 magazines. It was written by  Dave McKenzie of  the galois
group, inc. Having the command source makes it easy to determine the size, type
and order of parameters.
