I don't believe this is the case.  When we upgraded to V3R7 no one at
our shop even knew what ObjectConnect was.  About six months ago I
read about ObjectConnect on the IBM web site, checked for it on our
machines, saw that it was there, and started using it.  So it seems it
was part of V3R7 when we bought it, as I'm sure no one from our shop
actually ordered it and paid extra.
