I've only been on the AS/400 since 1994, so I certainly don't consider
myself a "geezer" by any stretch of the imagination.  <grin>  But if I
didn't understand all about left-hand indicators, matching indicators,
the RPG cycle, and all the other aspects of RPGIII, I wouldn't be able
to hold the job I have today.  Sure, I make it a point to use the more
modern constructs, but I also have to support all the other programs
on our system which have all kinds of archaic code in them.  I guess
what I'm trying to say is that the geezers aren't alone in their
knowledge of the old stuff.  Some of us youngsters have taken the time
to learn the old ways for support purposes.  :-)
