Let's have a youngest geezer contest. <g> "But just consider this", I use SEU in PC5250. I've mapped Cut|Copy|Paste to the standard Windows accelerator keys (not the OS/2 ones, which I'm not used to), I set up macros like crazy. And I turn on Hot Spots, so that function keys become buttons. For me, this is highly adequate as a GUI source editor—really! It's GUI, and you get to choose how you want to use the interface—a key design item oft left out of GUI designs. And you keep ALL the GOOD features that SEU has, like prompting & help for ALL AS/400 common languages, including CL. (No flame intended, sorry.) Flex/Edit, for one, gives you absolute no help on CL commands when writing in that environment, and no prompting. Don't know about CODE/400. But the clincher is, it's not very expensive—you _do_ need to license PC5250. Because we saw very little gain from going to, say, Flex/Edit, or CODE/400 for source entry, we have stayed with the above approach. PC5250 makes a fantastic GUI editor. Just a thought.
