I'm finding (as many others have that have posted here recently) that there's a heckuva lot of learning curve just in the univ. level...and it's obvious that things haven't changed in that perspective since I was a undergrad... We've seen ALL the local community colleges in DC metro dump their 400 education side for sexier stuff that will fill the classrooms...it's a business decision for them... Frankly, I look at all this nice new stuff coming out, it looks nice and gooey (oopps, GUI! :), has alot of bells and whistles, but frankly uh, NOBODY'S writing their main corp database in it yet....and this doesnt' begin to address the legacy code issues...alot of which are not being address either... Actually, this goes to a previous comment I made a while ago: Frankly, I hope that all the schools and IBM totally drop the ball on the AS/400 education arena...it's GREAT job security and outrageous margins for me! :) Don in DC metro +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
