Tom, While it may be a PTF, investigate this: Do you have any expansion card cages on the F45 either the ancient "B" style cards or the newer Book style? If so, did they MOVE the card that connects the expansion bus over before inserting the 6501? There are strict rules that must be followed for bus loading and one of them is NO CARDS RIGHT OF THE BUS EXTENSION CARD. What you are experienceing is one of the possible symptoms of breaking those rules.
