     Hi Phani,

Check out the Query management manuals.

Query management allows you to define a SQL statement in a source
member, the statement may have Variables and once compiles it becomes
an executable SQL statement (Very flexible and easy to set up).

Your problem may be solved by creating using 2 query management
queries. Contact me direct if you have any problems setting this up.
If you want to solve the Journaling error I'd need more info on what
     you are trying to do.

     Regards,

Subject: execute SQL statements through a CL program

     Hello,

A question on the AS/400 query facility.

We need to execute SQL statements through a CL program. When we run
the CL, it gives a journalling error. any idea how to accomplish this?

Also, we want to be able to execute multiple SQL statements from the
same SQL source. Is this possible? How can we do this?

     Best regards,
     Phani
