If it's DB2, you may be able to use DDM from the AS/400. We have one that runs SQLAnywhere (Watcom), and I've had to write some PowerBuilder code to exchange data with the AS/400. That reminds me, if it IS DB2, then DRDA can talk to it directly. You can even use SQL from the 400 to directly manipulate a DB2 table on another platform.
