One potential flaw in the solution is Visual Age for RPG's ability to talk the PC databases involved. There was talk of an ODBC part for VARPG and I think it's now possible to use embedded SQL to talk to PC databases, but haven't tried that. Another thing for Buck to consider, without buying a full-blown third-party development tool, is IBM's Project Lightning.
