Don, I just turned 30 a few months ago.... HEY! are you saying that over 30 is OLD? <VBG> At least I still get carded when I buy beer and cigarettes. :) In defense of younger programmers, IMO, most shops seem to view them as "junior" programmers, and therefore are not given the opportunity to attend educational conferences, regardless of their abilities or experience. :( (Sorry... just venting some steam) Anyway.... just so you know, I for one plan for a VERY long and rewarding career in midrange systems. In the entire night, I only was able to get 3 drinks! I did flatter alot of people though :) Midrangers are getting OLD....which is GREAT job security for me! ...not only that, the ones that know the 400 or S/38's who's company's are leaving the platform for something else, are generally staying with the company...not the 400... Further dimenishment of the market talent pool... This IS the life! :) ...just my opinion, but then, I may be wrong...
