John, >>Has anyone attempted (or know if it's even possible) to configure a >>CAWIN 95 router connection (using 802.2) through an AS/400 to >>another using a "tunneling" or "pass-thru" approach? Specifically, we >>have a smaller AS/400 sitting on a seperate segment of our network >>via a secondary token ring adapter in our larger AS/400. Is it possible >>to do this in an environment as I have described? Yes, you can do this. First, configure an 802.2 connection to your primary system. If Autoconfig is not on, you will need to create your own APPC controller. Do this in NS/Router if using Win/95 or NT. While in NS/Router, create sessions to the other AS/400's. When you get back to setting up Client Access, the other Router sessions will appear. Really not hard to do. All based upon the magic of APPN and what they call Source Route Bridging if I believe correctly. If you want step by step, you can call me after this weekend at me NEW (actually old) job. My last day at IBM is this Friday. My new info is below.
