Even though you signon with your user and pwd, the sub runs under the FTP
server job that is started on the AS400 and uses the security of that job.
On my system the FTP server jobs run under the QSYSWRK subsystem under the
user profile of QTCP.

The same holds true if you have multiple AS400s and use the RUNRMTCMD
command to initiate a command on a remote machine, execpt it runs under the
REXEC job.
