I have an FTP script on a PC that looks like this:

open as400.dilgard.com
user SPSUPDATES
SPSUPDATES
quote rcmd SBMJOB CMD(SALESLINK/SPS900) JOBD(SPSUPDATES) JOB(SPSUPDATES)
JOBQ(QCTL)
quit

Whenever I run it, I get:

550-Error occurred on command SBMJOB CMD(SALESLINK/SPS900)
JOBD(SPSUPDATES) JOB(SPSUPDATES) JOBQ(QCT.
550 Error found on SBMJOB command..

Error 550 says "Requested action not taken. Requested file not found or
no access." If I change the FTP script so that it uses _my_ userid and
password, it works fine, so I am "assuming" it is an authority problem.
However, I can't find a log anywhere on the AS/400 that indicates any
such thing. Changing the group profile on SPSUPDATES to QPGMR does not
help. My user profile (which has QPGMR as group profile) also happens
to have *ALLOBJ authority.

Any suggestion where to look to find just what is causing the trouble?
So far, no luck searching the TCP/IP Config & Reference manual . . .
