Regan, We like to get our people certified in a wide range of disciplines. We're consultants, and the "wall of fame" looks very impressive to potential customers. Also, it's good for morale. we like to keep our folks as current as is reasonably possible. The certifications are an indication of whether our education efforts are fruitful. I've also worked at a place that was the complete opposite. They never paid for, and in some cases discouraged continuing education. It seemed like he was afraid if they knew too much, they would be more apt to move on. Pretty short sighted IMO. I would get certified in as many things as I could, if for no other reason than that it looks good on a resume. If your company doesn't care, so be it, but if you have the time and the knowhow, why not? regards, Rick Regan Barr wrote: > > I'm new to the list and just wondered how IBM certification is viewed in > your company.
