Hello Dave, I haven't see a response to this yet: The value *SAME when prompting any command means one of two things; either the prompt override program (POP) (which determines the current values for the CHGxxxx command) cannot find a valid value or there is no prompt override program. If the POP cannot find a valid value because an error occurred there should be a message in the joblog. In your case I'd suggest that the files for which *SAME is displayed do not have an associated LANGID which may indicate that they are old files (S/38, earlier AS/400 versions). The solution is to provide a LANGID as you have done. //--- forwarded letter ------------------------------------------------------- > X-Mailer: Microsoft Internet Mail 4.70.1155 > Date: Sat, 14 Mar 98 12:01:08 -0500 > From: "David Prowak" <prowakd@EMI.COM> > To: "midrange list" <midrange-l@midrange.com> > Reply-To: MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com > Subject: CHGPF questions > > Hi, > I'm using CHGPF as I make changes to files for Y2K. > > I converted 7 files this morning. 3 of them converted fine.
