     I came across a similiar problem just last week.
     
     I had 2 fields on a DSPF, both mapped overlapping on the same data 
     structure. If *inxx *on, then the first one was displayed; if *inxx 
     *off then, the second one was displayed.
     
     When the first field was displayed and a value keyed to it, everything was 
tickety boo.

        When the second field was displayed and a value keyed to it, the value 
was *blank.

I spent hours looking at the debug data not quite believing it.

After a lot of trial and error, and then applying Sherlock Holme's theory "When 
you have erradicated the impossible, whatever remains, however inprobable, must 
be the solution"... I split up the data structures.

Result..........bug fixed.
