I came across a similiar problem just last week. I had 2 fields on a DSPF, both mapped overlapping on the same data structure. If *inxx *on, then the first one was displayed; if *inxx *off then, the second one was displayed. When the first field was displayed and a value keyed to it, everything was tickety boo. When the second field was displayed and a value keyed to it, the value was *blank. I spent hours looking at the debug data not quite believing it. After a lot of trial and error, and then applying Sherlock Holme's theory "When you have erradicated the impossible, whatever remains, however inprobable, must be the solution"... I split up the data structures. Result..........bug fixed. Neil Holley-Williams >Is the field in question part of a data structure? Overlaid fields in a data >structure will sometimes cause behavior. >>-----Original Message----- >>From: Wendy Chandler [SMTP:wchandle@golden.net] >>Sent: Wednesday, March 25, 1998 2:56 PM >>To: MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com >>Subject: >>We have a reoccuring problem.
