Here's the RPG/400 code to do it.  Make appropriate changes for ILE RPG.

C           'CUSTNAME'LOKUPARRAYA,X                 22 (Search =)
C                     MOVELARRAYB,X  CSTNAM


But it seems odd... why is all of this in array format... and (assuming
that's necessary) why is the customer name (for example) not always at
a particular array element number?

Just curious.

Is there any better way ?
