Hi, Art: I would suggest FTP, since it is native to unix, included within OS/400, quite efficient, and a well-known standard worldwide. RS/6000 can talk SNA, but it is not inherent to the O/S. I believe it is also an extra expense (in terms of efficiency and product). We are planning on putting the two machines on an ethernet network, but that will take some time. We need to get a file to the 400 once a day. Does the RS/6000 talk SNA? Our AS/400 has a wildcat BBS front end, should we use that? +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to "MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com". | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
