I'd always suggest making sure he has all of the latest PTFs. IBM Support has created an APAR for the 80-byte blocking problem. I was put in touch with George Silber of the Net.Data team this week. He said that there will soon be a parameter in the SQL environment of Net.Data that'll allow setting the starting point for the SQL retrieval in a SELECT statement. I'm really enthusiastic about Net.Data's potential. It'll be a great, relatively easy solution for our move to enabling our apps for the Internet. I've also begun to look at that forum more in earnest, although I'd run across it before. I'm really pleased that IBM is providing direct access to developers via the Web.
